Wipro inks multiyear contract with Marelli; stock gains 2.87 per cent

Leading global IT consulting and business process services company, Wipro Limited, signed a multi-year global agreement on Tuesday for automotive engineering services with Marelli, one of the world’s leading global independent suppliers to the automotive sector. 

With synergies of this partnership, Marelli will be able to drive speed to value and realise transformation of mobility in partnership with its clientele. Wipro will leverage its EngineeringNXT framework and strong automotive engineering expertise to establish a software engineering plant for Marelli. Moreover, it will also enable Marelli to improve its operational efficiency and expedite the launch of cutting-edge technologies on connectivity and sustainable mobility solutions.

The new strategic partnership will allow Wipro to gain leadership in mobility and transform products according to the future market needs. EngineeringNXT platform of services along with wide experience with leading automotive OEMs and suppliers globally will accelerate Marelli’s ability to innovate at scale.

Wipro is already an IT partner to Marelli, helping the company standardise, simplify, and enhance its IT services at a global level.

At around 12.14 pm, its share gained 2.87 per cent and was trading at Rs 286.90 on BSE.
