Welspun Enterprises bags EPC order for water segment worth Rs 2,500 crore
Welspun Enterprises Limited, in a joint venture (JV) with Kaveri Infraprojects Limited, Hyderabad is empanelled by UP State Water & Sanitation Mission, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department (SWSM) for the execution of EPC projects for the project of survey, design, preparation of DPR, construction, commissioning and operation & maintenance for 10 years of rural water supply.
Welspun Enterprises is the lead partner in the JV with a share of 74 per cent.
The estimated aggregate contract value of the above projects is Rs 2,500 crore (excluding O&M value and GST). The final value will be determined on completion of preparation of detailed project report (DPR) and its approval by SWSM. Preparation of DPR and construction of the project is to be progressively completed in nearly 21 to 28 months. Thereafter, O&M would be carried out by the company for a period of 10 years.
This project will be executed across total of 2,544 villages of Uttar Pradesh. This includes 747 villages of Jaunpur district, 877 villages of Sant Ravidas Nagar district, 241 villages of Ambedkar Nagar district, 240 villages of Amethi district and 439 villages of Bulandshahr district.
Currently, the company has orders worth Rs 1,100 crore in the EPC water segment.
On Wednesday during the early morning session, the stock of Welspun Enterprises was trading 4 per cent higher at Rs 130 from its previous close of Rs 124.95 on BSE.
