Watch Out For These Penny Stocks Locked In The Upper Circuit Today

Out of all BSE-listed companies, 207 stocks were locked in the upper circuit, and 144 stocks were locked in the lower circuit.

Domestic equity bourses, the  BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices, are trading in the green on Thursday. As of 11:40 a.m., the Sensex is up 0.66 per cent at the 76,850 level, and the Nifty-50 soared 0.71 per cent, trading at the 23,355 mark. About 2,823 shares have advanced, 923 have declined, and 123 shares were unchanged on BSE.

BSE Mid-Cap Index rose by 1.02 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index climbed 1.57 per cent. The top three Penny Stocks locked in the upper circuit were Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, OK Play India Ltd and Lancer Container Lines Ltd

On March 21, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.12 lakh crore or USD 4.78 trillion. On the same day, 59 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 78 stocks touched a 52-week low. Of all BSE-listed companies, 265 stocks were locked in the upper circuit, and 129 stocks were locked in the lower circuit.

Following penny stocks are locked in the upper circuit on March 21, 2025:

Jaiprakash Associates Ltd: Jaiprakash Associates Ltd engages in the business of engineering, construction, and power generation. On Friday, shares of the company were locked in the 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 4.03. The stock s undergoing insolvency proceedings under NCLT, with Deloitte-backed Bhuvan Madan inviting resolution plans. The company’s assets, valued at over USD 2 billion, include the Buddh International Circuit, a 2,500-acre land parcel, cement plants, and hotels. Admitted on ICICI Bank’s plea, JAL’s Rs 48,000 crore debt was assigned to NARCL by lenders, including SBI, PNB, and IDBI.

OK Play India Ltd: OK Play India Ltd engages in the manufacture and sale of plastic molded products. On March 21, 2025, shares of the company were locked in the 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 12.49. In January, Ok Play India approved the issue of up to 20 million shares at Rs 17.25 per share.

Lancer Container Lines Ltd: Lancer Container Lines Ltd engages in the provision of logistics services. On Friday, shares of the company were locked in the 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 16.2. The company is exploring potential business partnerships in Tuket and is considering the possibility of setting up an office in Turkey
