The morning session saw the Nifty initially facing selling pressure, but it later recovered impressively from the support level of 18,200. It surpassed the opening levels and reached a new high for the day. Eventually, it concluded the session with a notable gain of 35.75 points, closing at 18,321.15.

In a similar fashion, the S&P BSE Sensex also bounced back from its intraday low and concluded the session with a substantial gain of 208 points at 61,872.62. The Nifty Midcap 100 index exhibited strong performance, surpassing the benchmark index with a rally of 0.38 per cent. The Nifty Smallcap 100 closed slightly higher, showing an increase of approximately 0.09 per cent.

Throughout the day, the realty, consumption, and infrastructure sectors displayed resilience and strength. However, the PSU Banks and Media sectors remained relatively weak. Among the Nifty 50 stocks, Bajaj-Auto, Bharti Airtel, and ITC emerged as the Top Gainers, experiencing positive momentum. Conversely, Wipro, UPL, and Tata Motors were the Top Losers.

Given the Nifty's rise of 100 points and its closing level of 18,321.15, it is anticipated that today's low level will act as a robust support level for the upcoming sessions.
