Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on March 23
The BSE Sensex lost the winning streak and went down by 152 points and is trading at a level of 57,836.46.
The domestic equities saw a fall by a pulldown in auto and capital goods stocks. Besides, healthcare, utilities, and power sector stocks contributed to the gains extensively. Buyers outnumbered sellers as on the BSE, 1682 shares rose and 1600 shares fell. A total of 126 shares were unchanged.
The BSE Sensex lost the winning streak and went down by 152 points and is trading at a level of 57,836.46. BSE MidCap is trading in green, up by 90 and is trading at 23,791.85 levels, while SmallCap index gained by 64 points and trades at a level of 27,916.73. The gaining stocks on BSE Sensex are Dr Reddy's Laboratories (3.46 per cent), ITC (0.98 per cent), UltraTech Cement (0.60 per cent), Reliance Industries (0.47 per cent), Induslnd Bank (0.36 per cent), and Tech Mahindra (0.33 Per cent).
The Nifty 50 index tumbled by 42 points and is at 17,273.50 levels. Bank Nifty has depreciated by 70 points and trades at 36,278.10 levels. The major contributors of Nifty 50 are Dr Reddy's Laboratories (3.52 per cent), Divis Laboratories (2.46 per cent), Hindalco Industries (1.41 per cent), and Shree Cement (0.93 Per cent).
