Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on June 30

On Thursday morning, Sensex opened in the green territory. The index has gained only 39 points and is trading at 53,066 at 11.03 am.

After data revealed that the US economy shrank for the quarter ended March 2022, the benchmark indices are trading with moderate gains, headed by financials, IT, and oil & gas equities. This is in spite of weakness in all major global stock markets.  

  

On Thursday morning, Sensex opened in the green territory. The index has gained only 39 points and is trading at 53,066 at 11.03 am. On the flip side, BSE Midcap index declined 87 points and trades at 21,787 levels. BSE Smallcap index has also dropped 85 points and trades at 24,836 levels. In terms of sectoral indices, only energy, finance, bankex, and power sectors are trading in green.  

  

Likewise, Nifty 50 index inched higher by 5 points to trade at 15,804 levels. Similarly, Bank Nifty surged 161 points and trades at a level of 33,431. The Top Gainers are Axis Bank, HDFC Life Insurance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Power Grid Corporation of India, and State Bank of India. On the other hand, the Top Losers include Cipla, ONGC, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consumers, and UPL.   

              

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 851.06 crore on June 29 while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 847.46 crore.
