Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on July 18

BSE Sensex opened on a higher note following the global cues i.e. up by 535 points at a level of 54,296 at 11.06 am.

The benchmark indices marked minor advances in the early trade and are still trading in a reserved range. Nifty was hovering around the 16,200 level. IT stocks ended a losing streak of five days, rising 3.83 per cent during today’s trading session.  

  

BSE Sensex opened on a higher note following the global cues i.e. up by 535 points at a level of 54,296 at 11.06 am. BSE Midcap index too soared 226 points and trades at 23,081 levels. Similarly, Smallcap index zoomed 307 points and trades at 26,087 levels. Sensex Top Gainers include Tech Mahindra (4.43 per cent), Infosys (4.12 per cent), TCS (2.71 per cent), UltraTech Cement (2.60 per cent), and Induslnd Bank (2.47 per cent).   

   

Likewise, Nifty index jumped 133 points and trades at 16,182 levels. Bank Nifty is also performing healthy with 236 points’ gain to trade at 34,919 levels. The top gaining indices on Nifty are information technology, metal, and consumer durables gaining more than 3.2 per cent, 1.9 per cent & 1 per cent, respectively. None of the indices are trading in red today.  

  

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,649.36 crore on July 15 while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,059.46 crore.
