Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on February 4!

Sensex and Nifty 50 opened in the red territory during Friday's early deals.

Sensex and Nifty 50 opened in the red territory during Friday's early deals. Benchmark indices were trading lower in the volatile session. The Indian markets tracked mixed global cues. IT and Auto stocks weighed on the benchmarks, while metal stocks outperformed counterparts as investors look forward to major Q3 earnings of companies. FII selling was seeing yesterday of Rs 1,597.54 crore and also DII outflow Rs 370.58 crore was recorded.  

 

The BSE Sensex index has declined by 203 points and is trading at a level of 58,584.30. BSE MidCap has also fallen by 116 points and is trading at 24,803.89 points. The gaining stocks today in the index are Torrent Pharmaceuticals (6.64 per cent), Oberoi Realty (3.51 per cent), and ABB India (2.15 per cent). BSE SmallCap also weakened and is trading at 29,763.82 down by 74 points. The top gainers are Ambika Cotton Mills (14.06 per cent), MAS Financial Services (13.06 per cent), and Jindal Drilling & Industries (9.15 per cent). 

 

The Nifty 50 index plunged and is trading at 17,503.10 levels down by 57 points. The major contributors are Hindalco Industries, ONGC, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, and Divis Laboratory, contributing the majority of the gain. The stocks of losing today are Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank, and Bajaj Auto falling by more than 1.3 per cent each.
