Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on February 15

On a sectoral basis, Auto Index and Telecommunication Index surged 0.5 per cent each

At 01:15 pm on Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 50 points or 0.09 per cent at a level of 60,982.85 and the Nifty-50 down around 5 points or 0.03 per cent at a level of 17,922.25. 

The following are the Top Gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex Index: 

The top Sensex gainers were Reliance Industries Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd and Bajaj FinServ Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were ITC Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. 

On a sectoral basis, Auto Index and Telecommunication Index surged 0.5 per cent each whereas Utilities Index and Power Index plunged 0.7 per cent each. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading flat with the BSE Mid-Cap index up 0.12 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap index up 0.07 per cent, respectively. On BSE today, about 1,582 shares have advanced, 1,759 declined and 153 are unchanged on BSE 

On February 14, foreign institutional investors (FII) purchased shares worth Rs 1,305.30 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) purchased shares worth Rs 204.79 crore.
