Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on April 20

In the mid-morning session, BSE Sensex has zoomed 501 points and is trading at a level of 56,964.16.

Markets are trading higher with auto, IT, and oil & gas companies leading the way. Nifty is above 17,000 while Sensex is up by over 350 points. On April 20, Angel One, Tata Elxsi, ICICI Securities, JTL Infra, Reliance Industrial Infrastructure, Ellora Trading, HCKK Ventures, Indbank Merchant Banking Services, and IND Bank Housing will report their respective quarterly earnings. The top F&O gainers this morning are Metropolis Healthcare Ltd, Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd, ACC Ltd, Motherson Sumi Systems Limited, and Ambuja Cements Limited.   

 

In the mid-morning session, BSE Sensex has zoomed 501 points and is trading at a level of 56,964.16. BSE Midcap has also gained 200 points and is trading at 24,651.38 levels. BSE Smallcap index jumped 219 points and trades at a level of 29,089.16. The gaining stocks on BSE Sensex are Reliance Industries (2.68 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (2.78 per cent), TCS (2.55 per cent), UltraTech Cement (2.09 per cent), and Bharti Airtel (2.00 per cent).    

 

Similarly, Nifty 50 index has recovered from losses and is trading with gains of 162 points to 17,121.60 levels. Similarly, Bank Nifty has scaled up by 89 points and is currently trading at 36,431.40. The major contributors to Nifty 50 are Eicher Motors (3.27 per cent), Reliance Industries (2.55 per cent), TCS (2.56 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (2.88 per cent), and Tata Motors (2.79 per cent).   

 

On April 18, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 5,871.69 crore while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net purchasers worth Rs 3,980.81 crore.
