TVS Motor gains on launching ‘most powerful motorcycle in its class

On Wednesday, TVS Motor, a reputed manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the world announced that it has launched 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Motorcycle. 

The motorcycle remains competitive by offering increased power and torque in line with its customers' evolving needs, which ensures the best performance and power of 17.63 PS, making it the 'most powerful’ motorcycle in its class. The new motorcycle offers best-in-class performance with an enhanced power-to-weight ratio, which concludes a better-riding experience along with advanced technologies.    

Some of the details of the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V can be noted as:   

Having advanced engine 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine, that now churns out 17.63 PS at 9,250 RPM and 14.73 Nm torque at 7,250 RPM   

Mated to a 5-speed super-slick gearbox to offer a precise and powerful riding experience.   

New dual-tone seat with carbon fibre pattern and LED headlamp with claw styled position lamps enhancing the overall premium appeal.   

Motorcycle has also become lighter with a two kg weight reduction, with the disc variant weighing 147 kg whereas, the drum variant weighing 145 kg.   

The motorcycle will be available in 3 colours namely: racing red, knight black, and metallic blue.  

TVS Motor is the third-largest 2-wheeler company in India. It deals in scooters, motorcycles, mopeds, electric vehicles and three-wheelers.   

On Wednesday, the share of TVS Motor Company was up by 0.59 per cent at Rs 601.35 at 3.02 pm while the stock closed at Rs 603.25, up by 0.93 per cent on BSE.
