Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 572.93 points or 0.72 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 79,804.48 signifying a loss of 363.03 points or 0.46 per cent over its previous closing. 

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals soared by 0.52 per cent, power jumped 0.32 and auto rose by 0.28 per cent.

Meanwhile, Kec International Ltd, TCNS Clothing Co. Ltd and V-Mart Retail Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. 

Kec International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.14 per cent to trade at Rs 940.05 apiece. The company has secured new orders of Rs 1,017 crores in T&D and Renewables businesses.

TCNS Clothing Co. Ltd rallied 4.02 per cent to trade at Rs 579.40 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces. 

V-Mart Retail Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.66 per cent to trade at Rs 2997.95 apiece. The company has given a Business Update at the end of Quarter 1 of Financial Year 2024-25 (Q1FY25).
