Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 198.72 points or 0.30 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 65,398.19 signifying a loss of 47.85 points or 0.07 per cent over its previous closing.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.12 per cent, power gained 0.44 and auto rose by 0.03 per cent.   

Meanwhile, DCB Bank Ltd, Hikal Ltd and KEC International Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.       

DCB Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.75 per cent to trade at Rs 129.65 apiece. The Bank has received approval from RBI to sell 7.5 per cent stake to Tata Asset Management.

Hikal Ltd rallied 3.02 per cent to trade at Rs 317.15 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.   

KEC International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 2.66 per cent to trade at Rs 591.00 apiece. The company has secured new orders worth Rs 1,042 crores across its various businesses.
