Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 261.28 points or 0.43 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 60,814.53, signifying gains of 122.99 points or 0.20 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.23 per cent, power weakened by 0.15 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.25 per cent.

Meanwhile, EKI Energy Services Ltd, G R Infraprojects Ltd and Adani Power Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

EKI Energy Services Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 10 per cent to trade at Rs 757 apiece. As per the latest announcement, the central government has finalised a list of activities that is taken into account for selling carbon credits on the global market, in compliance with Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. Owing to this, the shares of EKI Energy, which is a leading carbon credit developer & supplier, are rallying on the bourses.

G R Infraprojects Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 3.92 per cent to trade at Rs 1199 apiece. The company emerged as L-1 (lowest) bidder for two projects for tenders invited by National Highways Logistics Management Limited.

Adani Power Ltd, another S&P BSE 100 company, climbed 2.76 per cent to trade at Rs 167.50 apiece. Today, the company provided a clarification related to the acquisition of DB Power Ltd.
