Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 527.88 points or 0.88 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index, however, strengthened to 60,020.11, signifying gains of 188.45 points or 0.31 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.34 per cent, power weakened by 0.26 per cent while auto slipped by 0.3 per cent.

Meanwhile, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited, CSB Bank, and Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring CSB Bank, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.

Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 3.71 per cent to trade at Rs 10.90 apiece.

CSB Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 3.02 per cent to trade at Rs 240.75 apiece. On Friday, the bank released its results for the quarters Q2FY23 and H1FY23. As per the exchange filing, the bank's net profit improved by 5 per cent on a sequential basis from Rs 114.52 crore to Rs 120.54 crore during the quarter.

Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 2.58 per cent to trade at Rs 264.25 apiece.
