Top-performing large and midcap funds in the last one year

Large and midcap fund is the fund that invests in equity and equity-related instruments of largecap as well as midcap. Currently, 27 funds are offering the same scheme.

Every individual has a unique risk appetite which varies from high-risk appetite to low-risk. Generally, young individuals have a higher risk appetite and individuals who are at a pre-retirement stage or retired ones take low risks. Besides, mid-age individuals are moderate risk-takers who look for stability along with optimal returns. 

One can invest in large and midcap funds that have a moderately high-risk appetite as largecap funds are at lower risk as compared to mid and smallcap funds. Therefore, investing in this fund will give you exposure to large as well as midcap companies delivering optimal returns. 

As per SEBI, there are 10 sub-categories of equity schemes. Out of which large and midcap fund is the fund that invests in equity and equity-related instruments of largecap as well as midcap. Currently, 27 funds are offering the same scheme. As per AMFI, the net AUM of the scheme is Rs 1,04,376.32 crore as of December 2021, which has significantly surged up from Rs 69,225.66 crore as of December 2020 i.e., 50.77 per cent increase.
