Top-Performing Dividend Yield Mutual Funds of 2021

Mutual funds offer various types of schemes to investors such as equity-oriented, debt-oriented, solution funds, index funds and fund of funds. Within these schemes, there are various categories and as per SEBI, there are 10 categories of equity-oriented schemes. Out of this one of the categories is the dividend yield fund.

Dividend yield funds are open-ended equity schemes pre-dominantly investing in dividend-yielding stocks. As per SEBI minimum investment in equity should be 65 per cent of total assets. These mutual funds are the best options for those who want to invest in equity markets that offer dividends periodically.

These mutual funds can be divided into two categories based on asset allocation: Equity and Debt. Allocating assets towards equity of more than 65 per cent would deliver higher returns, but with a risk factor
