Thomas Cook India dips over 3 per cent despite strategic agreement with Destination Maldives

India’s leading integrated travel services company, Thomas Cook India, has signed a strategic agreement with Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation to enhance visibility and visits to the destination in an initiative to give a fillip to travel to Maldives.

Thomas Cook India has witnessed an encouraging increase in the demand for Maldives soon after it opened its borders in July 2020. To take an advantage of this demand, it has signed an agreement with Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation, which intends to create high visibility and steer India’s demand potential towards Maldives.

The partnership will deepen the relationship between the two parties and also, help Maldives attract a lot of Indian tourists. Apart from this, it will also ensure a reiteration of safety and hygiene, which is a key aspect to boost consumer confidence for travelling in the pandemic.

At the close of the market on Monday, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 42.00, a decline of 3.45 per cent over its previous day’s close.
