These stocks are experiencing strong momentum; do you hold them?

Despite Wall Street closing in the green, Nifty 50 opened muted on D-Street today. In this article, we have curated a list of top stocks that are experiencing strong momentum.

Following a strong muhurat trading session yesterday, Nifty 50 opened flat at 17,808.3, while its previous close was 17,730.75. This was even though Wall Street closed in the green on Monday, despite signs of economic weakness.

 

In overnight trade, Nasdaq Composite ended up by 0.86 per cent, Dow Jones gained 1.34 per cent, and S&P 500 surged by 1.19 per cent. Asian markets traded higher on Tuesday, following Wall Street's lead.

 

Nifty 50 was trading at 17,694.75 at 2:30 p.m, down 36 points or 0.2 per cent. Frontline indices underperformed broader market indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index was up 0.56 per cent, while the Nifty Small-Cap 100 index climbed 0.18 per cent.

 

FIIs were net buyers, while DIIs were net sellers, according to data as of October 21. FIIs were net sellers on the day of muhurat trading, while DIIs were net buyers. Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) bought Rs 438.89 crore worth of shares. Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 119.08 crore.
