Nifty-50 Index closed at 17,589.60, down by 0.98 per cent, while both the mid-cap index and the small-cap index closed negatively on broader markets 

Despite being a weak market on Friday, there were few penny stocks that touched 5 per upper circuit each and they gave multibagger returns in just 6 months. 

 On BSE today, about 1,436 shares have advanced, 1,939 declined and 159 are unchanged. 

About 1,207 shares have advanced, 2,309 declined and 124 are unchanged. PSU Banks, FMCG and pharmaceutical companies have witnessed healthy buying interest but IT and teck equities continue to struggle. However, the Indian indices ended the day higher.

Amidst all the chaos, there is only one stock on the Indian bourses that is seen defying gravity. A significant point to note here is that the stock has skyrocketed over 78 per cent in the last one week. 

BSE Sensex tanked over 600 points while Nifty 50 is weak by almost 200 points on Tuesday. BSE Midcap index is down by more than a per cent in line with the key benchmark indices while BSE Small cap index plunged 0.70 per cent.
