At 2.30 pm on Thursday, the markets were seen recovering from the day’s low as Asia- Pacific markets tumbled following the overnight cooling off of the most recent Wall Street rise.  

After making a cautious start amid mixed global cues, the Indian benchmark indices ended the day on a negative note with Nifty closing at 16,522 and Sensex ending at 55,381.

On Tuesday, investors globally remained cautious and on a backfoot tracking news flow on the war of Russia-Ukraine. Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty played between gains and losses in a rough session as gains in IT and pharma stocks were countervailed by losses in financial, auto and metal shares.
