Market WRAP: Indices end on a higher note; Sensex jumps 150 points on a volatile day!

Stocks that have hit fresh a 52-week high are Abbott India, Axis Bank, Bharat Forge, IDFC First Bank, PNB, SBI and Yes Bank.

Indices closed on a higher note on a volatile trading day. NSE Nifty 50 index rose 0.28 per cent to close above 18650 levels while Sensex soared 150 points.

Indices close lower; energy, pharma and auto drag, metals shine

From Nifty 50 stocks, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank & Coal India emerged as the top gainers while M&M, Reliance, and Maruti Suzuki were the top losers.

Indices closed lower on Monday as Nifty fell 0.53 per cent while Sensex lost over 400 points. Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap slipped 0.09 per cent & 0.58 per cent, respectively.

Nifty closes at 15,800; HDFC Life, ITC and Wipro emerge as top losers

Shree Cement, Power Grid Corporation, and Bajaj Finserv became the top gainers while HDFC Life, ITC & Wipro turned out to be the top losers.

Indices lost their early gains towards the end and Nifty fell about 30 points on a closing basis. Sensex lost 100 points while Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap also witnessed marginal losses.   

Nifty closes above 15,500 amid volatility; Maruti, Eicher Motors, and Hero MotoCorp emerge as top gainers

The auto sector remained firmly in green and Maruti, Eicher Motors, Hero MotoCorp and M&M emerged as the top gainers amongst Nifty stocks.

Indices closed higher amid volatility at the end of the day. Nifty bounced back sharply in the latter half of the session and closed higher by 0.93 per cent.

Nifty snaps six-day losing streak; HDFC, HUL and Asian Paints emerge as top gainers

Nifty FMCG & Nifty IT gained momentum and closed higher. However, Nifty Metals along with Nifty PSU Bank witnessed severe profit booking.

Indices traded with volatility throughout the day while Nifty closed higher by 0.37 per cent. Sensex gained about 237 points while Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap witnessed heavy profit booking as they plunged 2.26 per cent & 3.20 per cent, respectively.  

Carnage on Dalal Street as Nifty closes below 15,400; all sectors end in red

Only three stocks, namely, Nestle, Britannia, and HUL emerged as the top gainers amongst Nifty stocks while Tata Steel, Hindalco, Coal India, and ONGC plunged over 5 per cent each.

 Indices witnessed severe profit-booking as Nifty plunged over 2 per cent while Sensex shredded 1,045 points. Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap slipped over 2.34 per cent & 3.42 per cent, respectively.

Tata Steel, SBI and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories emerged as the top gainers amongst Nifty stocks while Bharti Airtel, ITC & Reliance Industries were the top losers.

Indices closed lower for the fourth consecutive day as Nifty falls below 16,400, down by 0.37 per cent.

Nifty closes above 16,300; Power Grid, HCL Tech and Infosys emerge as top gainers

All the sectoral indices closed in red apart from Nifty IT, which closed flat.

On such a volatile day, Nifty closed lower by 0.67 per cent at the 16,301.85 level. Sensex tanked about 364 points while Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap closed lower by 1.78 per cent & 2.52 per cent, respectively.
