Supreme Industries Q4FY18 PAT jumps 32 per cent

Supreme Industries reported results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 on Thursday.

The company's consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 1,471.26 crore, registering 14.7 per cent yoy increase. This was primarily driven by the increase in revenue from Industrial products and Plastic piping products by 56.2 per cent yoy and 12.6 per cent yoy, respectively.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 19.5 per cent yoy to Rs. 286.76 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 78 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 19.5 per cent.

The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 166.14 crore, yoy increase of 32.3 per cent.

Looking at the full year numbers, we see that revenue jumped by 11 per cent to reach Rs. 4,966.29 crore while EBITDA rose by 3 per cent to Rs. 787.11 crore. Company reported net profit of Rs. 397.09 crore, up 5 per cent yoy.

During Q4FY18, the company sold 1,03,215 MT of Plastic goods against sales of 95,870 MT in the corresponding quarter of previous year and achieved product value growth of about 8 per cent and 12 per cent, respectively.

The Board of Directors recommended payment of final dividend of Rs. 9 per equity share for the face value of Rs. 2 each.

Supreme Industries is India's leading plastics product manufacturer, offering a wide and comprehensive range of plastic products in India. The company operates in various product categories i.e. Plastic Piping System, Cross Laminated Films & Products, Protective Packaging Products, Industrial Moulded Components, Moulded Furniture, Storage & Material Handling Products, Performance Packaging Films and Composite LPG Cylinders.

On Thursday, the stock opened at Rs. 1,257 and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 1,320 and Rs. 1,235.15, respectively, on the BSE.
