Subex jumps 5 per cent on joining O-RAN Alliance in push for adoption of open radio access networks
The shares of Subex Limited ended higher by 5 per cent on Tuesday after the company announced that it became a member of O-RAN Alliance to support the development & standardisation of open radio access networks (RAN) and help drive innovation in the radio access network domain.
O-RAN Alliance is a global community of mobile network operators, vendors, and research & academic institutions operating in the RAN industry. The Group seeks to transform the RAN industry towards an open, intelligent, and fully interoperable mobile network ecosystem. The alliance is responsible for the creation of O-RAN standards to enable a more competitive RAN supplier ecosystem and boost innovation.
As part of this alliance, Subex will be involved in working groups related to RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) and would bring innovation using machine learning and deep learning technologies. Open RAN brings considerable innovation potential to the telecommunications industry.
On Tuesday, the stock of Subex Limited closed at Rs 28.90 per share, up by 5.28 per cent or Rs 1.45 per share, against a 0.90 per cent gain in the benchmark index. The 52-week high is recorded at Rs 35 while its 52-week low is Rs 2.80 on BSE.
