Godfrey Phillips: Income Tax Department had searched the office premises of Godfrey Phillips India from February 3 to February 7, 2021 in connection with a search carried out on a promoter of the company under Section 132 of Income Tax Act, 1961. The company has extended full cooperation to the authorities and will participate in any proceedings if required.
Max Healthcare: The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary namely, ALPS Hospital (ALPS) has entered into a settlement agreement with Chiranjiv Charitable Trust (CCT) regarding the ongoing dispute related to premises leased to ALPS for its 72-bedded hospital in Gurugram. Consequent to the settlement, the civil judge of Gurugram has disposed of the petition and the copy of the order was received on February 6, 2021. Accordingly, the contingent liability of Rs 115 crore reported in the annual audited consolidated financial results of the company for FY 19-20, stands extinguished.
