Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on May 2

At 11.15 am Monday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading marginally on the lower side as the Asian markets were jilted due to the data released by China, indicating that the Chinese factory activity had contracted in the month of April.  

Meanwhile, the US equity indices such as Nasdaq & Dow Jones slumped 4 per cent and almost 3 per cent, respectively during Friday’s trading session.  

The crude oil price fell by a per cent and was trading at $103.6 whereas the bond yields inched higher and stood at 2.92 per cent.  

Sensex was at 56,685.55, down by 375.32 points or 0.66 per cent while Nifty was at 16,978.60, down by 123.95 points or 0.72 per cent from the last trading session.            

On BSE, 1,072 shares have advanced, 2,174 shares declined whereas 174 shares are unchanged.             

The only gainers in Nifty 50 pack are IndusInd Bank, BPCL, Power Grid Corporation of India, HDFC, and UPL. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Eicher Motors, Apollo Hospitals, Wipro, SBI Life Insurance Company, and Tech Mahindra.   

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,899.10, up by 0.42 per cent. The Top Gainers in the pack were Tata Chemicals, Gujarat Heavy Chemicals, Future Consumer, Gokaldas Exports, and Alicon Castalloy. Each of these stocks has gained more than 7 per cent. Similarly, the Top Losers include Solara Active Pharma Sciences, Zee Learn, RPG Life Sciences, and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation.    

Sector-wise, all the indices were in the red with only BSE Realty trading in the green.
