Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on March 23

At noon on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e, Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading on the lower side, after opening in the green, as US 10-year bond yields hit the highest mark since 2019 and were trading at 2.406 per cent. This comes, after the comments made by the FED Chairman regarding hiking the interest rates aggressively, which spooked the investors. Also, the crude oil price rose amid volatility ahead of US President Biden’s meeting with NATO leaders in Brussels to discuss the Russian-Ukraine crisis. He will discuss imposing further sanctions on Russia on Thursday.

The Sensex was at 57,803.54 down by 185.76 points or 0.32 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,284.4 down by 31.05 points or 0.18 per cent from the last trading session.

On the BSE, 1,685 shares have advanced, 1,616 shares declined, whereas 116 shares are unchanged.

The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Divi’s Labs, Hindalco Industries, ITC, and Shree Cements. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Hero Motocorp, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Britannia Industries.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 27,918.89, up by 0.24 per cent. The top five gainers are Ashapura Mine, Menon Bearings, Aarti Surfactants, Jayant-Agro-Organics, Nava Bharat Ventures. Each of these stocks gained more than 12 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include Aptus Value Housing Finance, GNFC, Savita Oil Technology, Reliance Capital, and Jindal Drilling.

Sectorwise, only BSE Auto dragged the broader index majorly, whereas BSE Power, BSE Healthcare, and BSE Utilities were up by more than  1 per cent.
