Sterlite partners with Vocus Group to strengthen its presence in Australian market

On Wednesday, Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) informed the exchanges that it has joined hands with Vocus Group for the expansion of its fibre network in Australia. 

 Vocus Group Ltd is Australia’s specialist fibre and network solutions provider, connecting all mainland capitals with Asia and the USA. It also operates an extensive and modern network in New Zealand, connecting the country’s capitals and most regional centres.  

The company will leverage Sterlite Technologies’ Opticonn Solution, which offers a range of optical fibre & cable products, optical interconnect offerings and pre-connectorised kits.  

Speaking on the agreement, Ankit Agarwal, CEO - Connectivity Solutions Business at STL stated that the company’s end-to-end capabilities for global digital networks form a strategic fit with Vocus’ long-term goals. Hence, the company was excited to partner with Vocus for the expansion of its fibre network in Australia.   

At 2.46 pm on Wednesday, the company’s stock was trading at Rs 263.75, down by 2.01 per cent. Its 52-week high and 52-week low is Rs 279.95 and Rs 99.45, respectively on BSE.
