Sterling & Wilson Solar shines on winning orders worth AUD 300 million in Australia

Sterling & Wilson Solar, one of the leading MEP and EPC contractors, announced during the weekend that it has inked a contract for orders worth AUD 300 million (approximately Rs 1,600 crore) in Australia. Reacting to this news, its share rose nearly 5 per cent on BSE during the early trade on Monday.

The company bagged two large scale solar projects in Australia with an installed capacity of over 300 megawatts (MW). Sterling & Wilson Solar secured the project from the global independent power producer (IPP), which is said to begin immediately. The company already has three projects of over 800 MW under construction in the country.

Meanwhile, the company has 5 projects and a portfolio of more than 1.1 gigawatt (GW), making the total order book in Australia stand at about AUD 1.2 billion (Rs 6,350 crore). It has more than 10.6 GW of solar power projects and also manages a portfolio of 7.4 GW of operations and maintenance (O&M) projects globally.

Sterling & Wilson Solar is a Shapoorji Pallonji Group company that provides EPC services for utility-scale, rooftop, and floating solar power projects as well as for operations & maintenance (O&M) services.

At around 11.49 am on Monday, its share was trading at Rs 279 with gains of 3.79 per cent on BSE. Its 52-week high is Rs 665 while the 52-week low is Rs 69.75 on BSE.
