Shares of JSW Energy jump 3 per cent post Q1 result
JSW Energy traded 3 per cent higher in the morning session on Wednesday post the company’s result announcement.
JSW Energy has reported 92.40 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 74.94 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2019 as compared to Rs. 38.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income of the company decreased by 14.17 per cent at Rs. 1,191.43 crore for Q1FY20 as compared Rs. 1,388.10 crore for the corresponding of FY19.
On a consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 3.37 per cent in its net profit at Rs. 237.27 crore for Q1FY20 as compared to Rs. 229.53 crore for the same quarter of the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 1.49 per cent at Rs. 2,463.99 crore for Q1FY20 as compared Rs. 2,427.87 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
The shares of the company on Wednesday opened at Rs. 68 against Tuesday’s close of Rs.67.70. At 11:31 hours, it was trading at Rs.69.75 per share, 3.03 per cent higher than its previous close. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 70.40 and intraday low was Rs. 68. Its 52-week high was Rs. 77 and 52-week low was Rs. 56 per share on the BSE.
