Shares below Rs 100: These trending shares made a fresh 52-week high on September 14!

The top low-priced gainers on BSE were LGB Forge, SBL Infratech, and Sharp India Ltd, which got locked in a 20 per cent upper circuit on an otherwise weak market day.

Following a bloodbath on Wall Street overnight in which the majority of US stocks tumbled with technology stocks taking the brunt of the damage, the Indian benchmark indices opened with steep losses. BSE IT was the session's biggest dragger, losing more than 3 per cent.

While other major markets across the world slipped 2-3 per cent, the Indian domestic indices stayed firm, recovering the majority of the session's losses and finishing slightly lower. With over a per cent gain, BSE Metals, BSE Bankex, and BSE Basic Materials sectors helped offset losses in the IT sector.

The broader markets outpaced the major indices. Tata Investment Corporation and JSW Holdings, two investment firms, jointly led BSE Smallcap pack to lock at a 20 per cent upper circuit. The top low-priced gainers on BSE were LGB Forge, SBL Infratech, and Sharp India Ltd, which got locked in a 20 per cent upper circuit on an otherwise weak market day.
