Shares below Rs 100: These trending shares made a fresh 52-week high on August 5!

Bhagiradha Chemicals & Industries Ltd, the small-cap pack's top gainer, soared about 11 per cent and traded at a new 52-week high.

The domestic markets were expected to open higher, anticipating a rate hike by Reserve Bank of India to reign in stubbornly growing inflation. In June, annual consumer inflation in India exceeded Reserve Bank of India's 6 per cent tolerance limit for the sixth consecutive month.

Expectedly, the Indian benchmark indices opened with slight gains and were trading higher as a result of RBI lifting its rate by 50 basis points to 5.4 per cent and the GDP forecast being at 7.2 per cent. Sectoral performance was mixed. The top-gaining sector was BSE Telecom with the shares of GTL Infrastructure Ltd increasing by over 8 per cent while the worst-hit sectors were BSE Utilities & BSE Power, both of which, lost more than 1 per cent.

BSE Midcap index edged up by 0.09 per cent while BSE Smallcap index advanced by 0.23 per cent. The top low-price gainers on BSE that got locked in at 20 per cent upper circuits were Times Guaranty, Yug Decor, and Weizmann Limited.

Bhagiradha Chemicals & Industries Ltd, the Small-Cap pack's top gainer, soared about 11 per cent and traded at a new 52-week high. Filatex India, Subex Ltd, and GTL Infrastructure Ltd witnessed aggressive purchasing in the small-cap index with shares rising 8-11 per cent.

Here is the list of low-priced shares that made a new 52-week high on Friday:
