Sensex rebounds after two-day loss; closes above 200 points
Sensex closed above 200 points at the end of Wednesday’s trading session at 41,198.66 levels, up by 0.57 per cent. While, Nifty managed to close at 12,129.50 levels, up by 0.61 per cent.
The star performers of S&P BSE Sensex are: Bajaj Finance-up by 4.95 per cent, Nestle India-up by 2.95 per cent, ITC-up by 2.64 per cent, Infosys-up by 1.48 per cent and L&T-up by 1.37 per cent.
S&P BSE Mid-cap closed at 15,754.41 levels, up by 0.49 per cent and S&P BSE Small-cap closed at 14,840.69, up by 0.12 per cent. The top three small-cap stocks are: Shalby Hospitals-up by 14.97 per cent, Aptech-up by 11.24 per cent and MT Educare-up by 9.99 per cent.
S&P BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), S&P BSE Industrials and S&P BSE Capital Goods are the top three sectoral indices today, clocking gain up to 1.44 per cent, 1.23 per cent and 1.07 per cent, respectively.
