Saregama signs long-term music deal with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for 3 upcoming projects
The Indian film & music industry has witnessed a confluence of two iconic entities during the weekend.
Reportedly, Saregama, the country’s oldest and largest music label has joined hands with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, an auteur extraordinaire, who is popular for visual artistry along with his unmatchable story-telling and unique understanding of music.
With this collaboration, Saregama will come on board as a music label for three upcoming projects of Bhansali. These projects are much-awaited and discussed. One of these projects includes the movie, Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt. The music rights of this project have been acquired from Pen Studios. Saregama is delighted to have an apt addition to their preserved work of some of the biggest talents from music & film industry.
Saregama India Ltd, a RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, is known as India's oldest music label, youngest film studio, and a multi-language TV content producer. Headquartered in Kolkata, with other offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, it's listed on National Stock Exchange of India Limited, BSE Limited and Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE).
On Thursday, the share of Saregama Ltd was trading at Rs 1,788, which is 0.46 per cent up on BSE.
