Over the past couple of years, every time a newsworthy event or economic uncertainty has tried to corner the stock market bulls, they have displayed their characteristic resilience. Time and again, the bulls have brushed aside fears and scaled the proverbial wall of worry. The current scenario is no exception. Just a fortnight ago, the market sentiment appeared dire, with market breadth offering little reason for optimism. Yet, the Nifty 50 index surprised the sceptics by logging gains in five out of the last five trading sessions, reinforcing its rhythm of higher highs and higher lows.
