Relaxo Footwear, Redington, Atul contribute most to BSE SmallCap index gains; Penny Stocks Nagarjuna Fertilisers, Reliance Home, GTL Infra, Rolta, IFCI shine

Small caps continue their dream run on Thursday with BSE SmallCap index outperforming Sensex in the morning session of the markets. While Ajmera realty, Specialty restaurants , Khadim top the small cap gainers list it is Relaxo Footwear, Atul and Redington put together that are contributing most to the BSE SmallCap index gains in the early morning session on Thursday.

Penny stocks such as GTL Infra and Nagajuna Fertilisers are locked in upper circuit while 3i Infotech is locked in lower circuit. Shriram EPC is up by more than 3 per cent.

Ajmera realty is up by nearly 9 per cent, Specialty restaurants is up by more than 7 per cent. Selan exploration was seen buzzing on bourses, up by nearly 7 per cent.

Munjal Showa features as a top loser in the BSE SmallCap index, down by more than 8 per cent. Adani Total Gas is down by 5 per cent while Sintex plastics slips by nearly 5 per cent along with McLeod Russel which is down by 4.99 per cent.

BSE Sensex has zoomed over 52500 levels and has added almost 221 points to its tally in the morning session. As it is an f&o expiry day for the markets, one can expect increased volatility.
