Q3FY19: Lumax Auto Tech PAT jumps 23.3 per cent

Auto ancillary player Lumax Auto Technologies' consolidated net profit came in at Rs. 18.36 crore for the quarter ended December 2018 as against Rs. 14.89 crore YoY. 

The company’s revenues from operations for Q3FY19 stood at Rs. 320.01 crore as against Rs. 277.22 crore for the corresponding quarter last year, up 15.44 per cent YoY. The company’s EBITDA stood at Rs. 36.2 crore as against Rs. 29.76 crore, up 21.66 per cent YoY. The EBITDA margins for the company stood at 11.31 per cent as against 10.73 per cent in Q3FY18.

The company enjoys a market share in excess of 70 per cent in the gear shifters market.

 Product-wise, the company’s Chassis and Frames businesses contributed 16 per cent to the revenues, up from 8 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year. The lighting and moulded parts contributed 25 per cent and 13 per cent to the revenues, down from 28 per cent and 17 per cent in the quarter ended December 2017.

 The OEM segment of the company contributed 83 per cent to the company’s sales and the remaining 17 per cent was contributed by the aftermarket segment.

 Bajaj Auto accounted for 38 per cent of the company’s revenues, followed by Lumax Industries which accounted for 18 per cent.

 On Monday, Lumax Auto Technologies was trading at Rs. 138.5 per share, down about 2 per cent on the BSE
