Power Grid surges on new order win
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been declared the successful bidder under tariff based competitive bidding to establish transmission system for intrastate transmission work of 400 kV and 220 kV in Madhya Pradesh.
Power Grid will establish transmission system associated with construction of 400 kV substation near Guna, Madhya Pradesh and other transmission work of 220 kV at Bhind, Madhya Pradesh on build, own operate and maintain (BOOM) basis. The transmission lines of 400 kV, 220 kV and 132 kV are also associated with transmission system in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is an Indian state-owned electric utility company headquartered in Gurugram, India. It operates about 1,54,692 ckt kms of transmission line with 244 sub-stations and transformation capacity of about 3,71,512 MVA as on 31st July, 2019. Power Grid transmits about 50 per cent of total power generated in India on its transmission network. The company provides services in Transmission lines, Sub-Stations, Smart Grid, Load Dispatch and Communication and Power Distribution.
On Thursday, the stock of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited had opened at Rs. 198.85 per share and made an intraday high and low of Rs. 203.20 and Rs. 198.15, respectively on the BSE. At 01:50 pm, the stock was trading at Rs. 198.60, up by 0.89 per cent.
