Index trend and stocks in action July 09, 2019

Karan Dsij 0 974 Article rating: 5.0

The zone of 11,426-11,500 is a crucial support zone as it is the confluence of the gap area support and the 100-DMA. On the hourly time frame, the RSI has entered into an oversold territory; hence, a relief rally would be seen resisted around the levels of 11,620 and 11,650. Stocks in news: Hero MotoCorp, HCL Technologies, Vikas WSP, NHPC, TCS, Voltas.

Red is the colour of the day post budget!

Shohini Nath 0 1314 Article rating: 5.0

In the afternoon, all the sectoral indices were trading in the negative territory while the Sensex was down 1.9 per cent and Nifty 50 was down 2.32 per cent. On the back of sustained selling by market-participants, the markets are continuing their negative momentum as the equity markets were trading at the day’s low points in the afternoon session.

Index trend and stocks in action July 08, 2019

Karan Dsij 0 2410 Article rating: 5.0

It would be interesting to see whether or not bulls manage to hold on to the budget session low of (11,798). If they manage to hold above this level, the pullback options would remain open towards the levels of 11,880-11,940. However, failure to hold the support level of 11,798 would result in a prolonged correction towards the next important support level of 11,726, which is 50-DMA. Stocks in news: India Grid Trust, PNB Housing, PNB, Indian Hume Pipe, JSW Energy, Zuari Agro Chemicals, Yes Bank, Quick Heal Technologies, Tata Power, JSW Steel, Maruti Suzuki.

Crude and Reforms to take Markets Northwards

Shruti Jadhav 0 2134 Article rating: No rating

OPEC+ members formalised and extended their existing 1.2 million barrel per day output cuts to further support the elevated price of oil for another nine months. However, the effect of this output cut was a steep decline in crude oil prices. This is good news for Indian equity markets as lower crude prices bode well for the Indian economy.

Index trend and stocks in action July 04, 2019

Karan Dsij 0 1345 Article rating: 5.0

The 12,000 mark is likely to play out as a crucial resistance zone. On the downside, immediate support is seen around the 20-DMA (11,826) and as long as bulls manage to hold on to the 20-DMA, maintain a positive bias and 'buy on dips' strategy should be adopted. Stocks in news: Prime Focus, Mcleod Ruseel, Jindal Steel, JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.
