Penny Stocks: Stocks likely to be in focus tomorrow!

The following penny stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Tuesday's trading session concluded with benchmark indices closing higher. The Sensex saw a modest gain of 0.45 per cent, closing at 73,104.61, while the Nifty also rose by 0.51 per cent to reach 22,217.85.

In addition, the broader market witnessed significant gains, with the Nifty Mid-Cap climbing by 0.98 per cent and the Nifty Small-Cap surging by 2.03 per cent.

Market volatility, measured by India VIX, declined by 0.68 per cent, indicating a slight decrease in market volatility.

Among sectors, Nifty Metal, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Energy closed in the positive territory, while Nifty FMCG and Nifty Pharma ended as the Top Losers.

Overall, the broader market sentiment remained positive, with 2,665 stocks advancing compared to 1,145 stocks declining, indicating an optimistic outlook among investors.

Jaiprakash Power Venture - Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 18.95 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 1994, Jaiprakash Power Venture Limited operates in coal mining, sand mining, cement grinding, and production of thermal and hydroelectric electricity.

Reliance Power- The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 25.60 per share on NSE. Reliance Power has been established to develop, construct and operate power projects both in India as well as internationally. The Company on its own and through its subsidiaries has a large portfolio of power generation capacity, both in operation as well as capacity under development

Jyoti Structures - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 26.75 per share on NSE. Jyoti Structures Limited was incorporated in 1974. The company is engaged in electricity, transmission, distribution and substation. The registered office of the Company is in Mumbai.
