Overnight Digest: These stocks will be in focus on Tuesday, August 16!

Nifty breached the crucial mark of 17,700 on the higher side during Friday’s trading session even as the broader markets were seen outperforming the key benchmark indices.

Nifty breached the crucial mark of 17,700 on the higher side during Friday’s trading session even as the broader markets were seen outperforming the key benchmark indices.  

On Friday, Bharat Forge emerged as the top BSE Midcap index gainer while DFM Foods turned out to be the top Small-Cap gainer on a closing basis.  

 

The following stocks will be in focus on August 16:  

 

1. KECL: The shares of KECL made a fresh 52-week high during Friday's trading session. Its shares touched the upper circuit on an intraday basis at Rs 47.85. The spurt in the volume of 293 times was seen even as the shares jumped 4.50 per cent on a closing basis. KECL shares will be in focus on August 16.  

 

2. SME stocks: The shares of Gensol Engineering made an all-time high during Friday’s trading session and were seen getting locked in the upper circuit. Nupur Recyclers was also seen trading higher on Friday. Heavy buying in Nupur Recyclers and buyers locking in Gensol Engineering shares will make these stocks stay in focus on August 16.  

 

3. Zomato: The shares of Zomato gained more than 6 per cent with a spurt in volume. Its shares will be in focus on August 16, owing to the price volume breakout seen during Friday’s trading session.  

 

4. Fineotex Chemical: Fineotex Chemical shares made a fresh 52-week high on August 12 by trading at Rs 273.45 per share. The shares of Fineotex Chemical ended higher by over 3 per cent on a closing basis during Friday’s trading session. The trending chemical sector stock- Fineotex Chemical should be on your watchlist for Tuesday's (August 16) trading session.  

 

5. BSE 500 price volume breakout shares: The shares of Tata Elxsi, Forbes & Company, Bharat Forge, AGI Greenpac, Chennai Petroleum, IGL, PNB Housing, Mahindra CIE, V-Guard Industries, Gayatri Projects, MRPL, GSPL, Poonawalla Fincorp, and SAIL witnessed a price volume breakout. Healthy buying in these quality stocks suggests that these stocks should be on your watchlist on August 16.
