Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Wednesday

3i Infotech, Art Nirman, Best Agrolife, Creative Newtech, DCM Limited and Digjam Limited made a fresh 52-week high today.

On Tuesday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty closed the session with gains of 0.63 per cent and 0.79 per cent respectively. BSE Small-cap index outperformed broader markets, surging 2.20 per cent to end at 28,449.    

 

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday:  

Symphony – The company announced their results for Q2FY22. Standalone sales jumped 24 per cent to Rs 139 crore for Q2FY22 from Rs 112 crore in Q2FY21. Standalone profit after tax (PAT) is up by 17 per cent to Rs 32 crore as compared to Rs 27 crore in Q2FY21. Consolidated sales are up by 16 per cent to Rs 220 crore from Rs 190 crore in Q2FY21. Consolidated PAT is up by 94 per cent to Rs 30 crore from Rs 15 crore in Q2FY21. The company has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share of Rs 2 each amounting to Rs 14 crore. 

To quote Nrupesh Shah, Executive Director of Symphony from a filing with the exchange, “Despite an increase in input and freight costs, we have maintained our standalone gross margin at 48 per cent in H1 21‐22 in line with 47 per cent in H1 20‐21.” 

Having a premium brand with various path-breaking models for household, commercial and industrial needs and being a market leader, the company is quite optimistic for the growth and performance in medium to long term period to remain intact.   

Best Agrolife – The company in Q2FY22 generated revenues of Rs 324.39 crore with a growth of 16.81 per cent. EBITDA stood at Rs 35.23 crore and PAT at Rs 24.95 crore. The company delivered positive results with 1HFY22 revenue of Rs 668.95 crore for the period ending September 30, 2021, registering a growth of 4.43 per cent. 

52-week High Stocks – 3i Infotech, Art Nirman, Best Agrolife, Creative Newtech, DCM Limited and Digjam Limited made a fresh 52-week high today. These small-cap stocks will likely be in focus on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
