Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Monday

Worth Peripherals, Gokaldas Exports, Premier Explosives, LG Balakrishnan & Bros, Hitachi Energy India, Vishnu Chemicals, Praxis Home Retail, United Polyfab Gujarat and Palred Technologies made a fresh 52-week high today.

On Friday, Indian equity markets ended in the red territory, extending their losing streak for the fourth straight day in a row. Headline indices Nifty 50 and Sensex slipped 0.79 per cent and 0.72 per cent, closing at 17,617.20 and 59,037.18 respectively. BSE Small-cap index plunged 1.96 per cent, ending the last trading session of the week at 29,967.21.  

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, January 24, 2022:  

Heritage Foods – The company has announced its financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended on December 31, 2021. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 6,670 million during the quarter; up by 10.3 per cent YoY. EBIDTA stood at Rs 392 million in Q3FY222 as compared to Rs 773 million in Q3FY21; EBITDA margin stood at 5.9 per cent in Q3FY22. Net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 208 million as compared to Rs 464 million in Q3FY21. 

During the quarter, the company launched several products across categories such as new pack formats of frozen dessert in vanilla, butterscotch and chocolate flavours, and all-new ‘easy-to digest’ A2 fresh milk in selected markets. 

Supriya Lifescience – The company has declared its unaudited financial statements for the quarter ended December 31, 2021. Consolidated revenue for Q3FY22 reported a growth of 44 per cent (YoY) to Rs 1,224.4 million as compared to Rs 850.2 million in Q3FY21. PAT for Q3FY22 stood at Rs 396.4 million and PAT margin stood at 32 per cent as against Rs 156.9 million in Q3FY21, registering a growth of 153 per cent. 

The company said that the performance was driven by a very strong demand for anaesthetic, antiasthmatic and vitamin therapy. The company expects the demand for these therapies to be strong, and also expect demand for antihistamine to pick up going forward.
