Overnight digest: Stocks to watch out for on September 2
On Wednesday, the headline indices erased the gains during the day and ended lower, experiencing profit booking at record high levels. Sensex was down by 214.18 points or 0.37 per cent at 57,338.21 levels while Nifty plunged 55.90 points or 0.33 per cent at 17,076.30 levels. In the broader markets, the small-cap and mid-cap indices outperformed by ending on a higher side. On the sectoral front, the metal & IT indices witnessed a drag whereas capital goods, power, and realty indices ended in the green.

ICICI Bank - ICICI Bank's market capitalisation has crossed Rs 5 lakh crore mark for the first time only to become the second bank to attain the said feat. This stock is likely to be in focus on Thursday.
Equitas Small Finance Bank -The stock of this company zoomed 4.79 per cent during Wednesday's trading session. The bank has launched a new initiative, enabling Google Pay users to book fixed deposits (FDs) in just a couple of minutes without opening a bank account. Keep a close watch on this stock for Thursday's trading session.
NLC India - The company has announced that it raised Rs 600 crore via 12,000 nos. of commercial paper of a face value of Rs 5,00,000 each. The stock slipped 1.42 per cent during Wednesday's trading session and is likely to be on the watchlist for Thursday's trading session.
Oberoi Realty - On Wednesday, the stock attracted investors by gaining 10.65 per cent and outperforming BSE Realty index. The stock has formed a long green candle with a huge spurt in volumes. In Wednesday's trading session, the stock broke the current resistance level and was trading constantly above the 20 & 30-day moving averages. It is likely to be in focus on Thursday.
Realty stocks - Watch out for realty stocks in Thursday's trading session as BSE Realty index rose by 5.46 per cent on an intraday basis, fading the performance of other sectoral indices. Sobha Limited, Brigade Enterprises, Indiabulls Real Estate, Prestige Enterprises, Phoenix Limited, and Godrej Properties were the top gaining stocks within the realty index.
