Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch out for on October 5

Recovering from losses of Friday's trading session, the benchmark indices settled on a higher note. Sensex closed 532 points higher at 59,298 level and Nifty 159 points higher at 17,691.3 level.

NTPC, Bajaj Finserv, SBI, Bajaj Finance and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers whereas Bajaj Auto, HUL, Titan Company and Nestle India were the top losers on Monday.

Keep a watch on these stocks on Tuesday:

DCM Shriram - The stock has soared 12.78 per cent in Monday's trading session. The stock is trading in a bullish momentum for five consecutive trading sessions and the RSI is trading positive. The stock is trading quite close to its 52-week high price of Rs 1,200 per share. It is likely to be in focus on Tuesday.

Chemical stocks - Chemical stocks were in focus in Monday's trading session as a power outage in China was seen impacting chemical output, which led to a sharp rise in prices of basic chemicals in India. Keep an eye on chemical stocks on Tuesday.

Cummins India - The stock was under pressure in Monday's trading session as Power Ministry has sought comments on the new draft norms, where suggestions were made that consumers will be encouraged to move from diesel generators onto more renewable sources of energy. The stock is likely to be on investors radar for Tuesday.

ICICI Bank - To take advantage of the upcoming festive season, ICICI Bank has launched ‘Festive Bonanza’, offering instant discounts and cashback on the purchase of an array of products from premium brands and leading e-commerce platforms. The bank has also revealed some consumer-friendly loan offers.
