Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch out for on October 12
Benchmark Indices closed in green for the third consecutive session with Nifty 50 gaining 0.28 per cent and Sensex gaining 0.13 per cent. Nifty touched the 18000 level for the first time and Sensex closed above 60,000 on Monday.
The market advanced decently in the first half but erased most of its early gains after the results from TCS and led to heavy selling in the IT stocks. The rising commodity prices and the upcoming earnings season would compel investors to trade cautiously.

IT stocks - BSE IT was the weakest performing sectoral index in Monday's trading session. The index has plunged by 2.87 per cent with TCS, Coforge, Mphasis, Mindtree being the top losing stocks within the index. Despite underperforming the benchmark indices, the stocks of Majesco, Expleo Solutions, Trigyn Technologies and Eclerx outperformed the index by gaining up to 5.31 per cent. IT stocks are likely to be in focus on Tuesday.
