Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch out for on October 12

Benchmark Indices closed in green for the third consecutive session with Nifty 50 gaining 0.28 per cent and Sensex gaining 0.13 per cent. Nifty touched the 18000 level for the first time and Sensex closed above 60,000 on Monday.

The market advanced decently in the first half but erased most of its early gains after the results from TCS and led to heavy selling in the IT stocks. The rising commodity prices and the upcoming earnings season would compel investors to trade cautiously.

These stocks are likely to be on the investor's watchlist for Tuesday:

IT stocks - BSE IT was the weakest performing sectoral index in Monday's trading session. The index has plunged by 2.87 per cent with TCS, Coforge, Mphasis, Mindtree being the top losing stocks within the index. Despite underperforming the benchmark indices, the stocks of Majesco, Expleo Solutions, Trigyn Technologies and Eclerx outperformed the index by gaining up to 5.31 per cent. IT stocks are likely to be in focus on Tuesday.

52-week high stocks - On Monday, the stocks of IndusInd Bank, Reliance Industries and SBI have made fresh 52-week highs. Keep a watch on these stocks on Tuesday.

Bullish Moving Average Crossover: Bharat Forge, eClerx Services, Intellect Design and Thermax are some of the trending stocks that saw a Bullish Moving Average Crossover on Monday. These stocks will be in focus on Tuesday.

Bullish Stochastic Crossover: Indian Energy Exchange, BSE, Team Lease Services and Sterling Wilson Solar saw a bullish stochastic crossover on Monday. These trending stocks may be viewed with a bullish perspective by the market participants on Tuesday.
