Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch on December 27, 2018

The stocks most likely to witness significant movement on the bourses on December 27, 2018 are Shanthi Gears, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, NTPC, Brigade Enterprises and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals.

Shanthi Gears: The Board sanctioned the buyback of fully paid-up equity shares for an aggregate amount of Rs. 70,00,00,000. Moreover, they also declared a one-time special interim dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share for FY18-19. The stock is likely to witness some movement in Thursday’s trading session.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone: The company completed the import and delivery of 50 US-made GE locomotives to Indian Railways to Mundra Port. The stock will be watched on Thursday.

NTPC: The company was accorded investment approval for Bilhaur Solar PV Project of 140 MW capacity and Auraiya Solar PV Project of 20 MW capacity. The stock will be monitored on Thursday.

Brigade Enterprises: The shares rallied 13.90 per cent on Wednesday and hit a 6-month high. They soared as high as 36 per cent in two months, thereby outperforming benchmark indices after the company declared excellent results for Q2FY19. The stock is likely to be in focus on Thursday.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals: The stock gained 18 per cent during Wednesday’s morning trading session after the company restarted production of urea from Unit I of Kakinada Plant in Andhra Pradesh. The stock is likely to witness some movement in Thursday’s trading session.
