Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on May 02!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Tuesday’s trading session!

Indian benchmark indices witnessed a closing rally and finished the session significantly higher. The BSE Sensex surged 0.76 per cent to 61,112 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index soared 0.84 per cent to a level of 18,065. BSE Telecommunications led the sectoral advances with gains of more than 2 per cent, while BSE Consumer Durables was the only losing sector.  

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Tuesday’s trading session -  

Wipro Ltd - The company's board of directors approved a proposal to buyback 4.91 per cent of its total paid-up equity shares for an amount not exceeding Rs 12,000 crore, at a price of Rs 445 per equity share. Shares ended the session 2.89 per cent higher, making them the top Sensex gainer.  

Indus Towers - Despite reporting disappointing quarter results, shares of the company soared significantly on a high traded volume and ended the session about 7 per cent higher, leading the gains in the BSE Largecap pack. According to the company, poor financial performance is due to collection difficulties from a major customer.  

Thermax Ltd - The company announced that it has concluded an order of Rs 271.5 crore from India’s biggest oil refinery in the private sector for mechanical balance of plant (MBoP) works for the captive power plant (CPP) at their new oil-to-chemical (O2C) facility in the western part of India. Shares ended the session 1.85 per cent higher.
