Opening spotlight: These stocks surged despite bleeding market day!

While all the indices were in red, these three stocks were the top gainers in the Group A list.

In the previous trading session, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex ended the day with minor gains of 0.06 per cent. However, in the pre-opening session today, the index opened in red, down by 0.51 per cent to the level of 55,419.83 and by 9.15 am, it fell to 54,928.29, which was a decline of 1.39 per cent.

Meanwhile, at the pre-opening bell, S&P BSE Smallcap tumbled 1.02 per cent, S&P BSE Midcap declined 0.79 per cent and S&P BSE 500 plunged 1.39 per cent.

Contrary to these bearish sentiments, the following Group A stocks, upon witnessing increased demand from buyers, gained the most!

Cera Sanitaryware Ltd, a company that provides a complete range of home solution products, surged 4.41 per cent on the bourses. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 4,239.90.

Federal Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE 100 company, was trading at Rs 98, higher by 4.14 per cent from its previous close. This rally comes ahead of the bank’s Q4FY22 result, which is set to be announced today.

At the same time, the domestic logistics company Blue Dart Express Ltd climbed 2.52 per cent to Rs 6,999.95. A part of S&P BSE 500 companies, Blue Dart Express had announced its Q4FY22 results on Thursday after the market hours while the company’s board had approved a final dividend of Rs 35 per share to its shareholders.
