Music Broadcast Ltd partners with Spotify
Radio City, owned and operated by Music Broadcast Ltd, has partnered with Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming platform.
The partnership aims to provide content to Radio City, which includes more than 1,400 episodes of 16 audio IPs, exclusively to Spotify users. The content will be provided in six languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil, Punjabi and English. The content will cover various genres such as romance, comedy, crime, poetry, among others.
Audio over IP (AoIP) distributes digital audio across an IP network such as the internet, which gives a virtually global reach to its content while, ensuring high-quality audio feeds.
Partnering with Spotify will help Radio City’s content in reaching more listeners worldwide. This will result in the radio channel’s premium audio IPs, including Babber Sher, Radio City Joke Studio with Kishore Kaka, Love Guru in Punjabi, Tamil & Kannada, Karaala Kathegalu, Darr Dobara and Aam Aadmi Ki Khaas Kahaani, targeting not only Spotify users in India but also the diaspora that is present on the audio streaming platform across the world.
The stock closed at 12.98, down by 1.52 per cent or Rs 0.20 per share. The intraday high is Rs 13.33 and intraday low is Rs 12.92
